Terms of Service

OptoJury provides litigation-planning tools, simulated report outputs, and related workflow features for business and professional use. You may use the service only in accordance with these Terms and all applicable laws.

We may update, suspend, or discontinue any portion of the service at any time, with or without notice, subject to applicable law.

You are responsible for the accuracy of information you submit, maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, and all activity that occurs under your account.

You agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account or any other security incident involving the service.

You retain ownership of the content you submit. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process, analyze, reproduce, transmit, and display that content solely as necessary to provide and improve the service.

You represent that you have the rights necessary to submit the content and that your content does not violate any law, court order, confidentiality obligation, or third-party right.

You may not use the service to upload malware, attempt unauthorized access, scrape or harvest data at scale, interfere with the platform, or use the service in a manner that creates legal, security, or operational risk for us or others.

You may not reverse engineer, duplicate, or misuse the service except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.

All outputs are informational simulations intended for planning and workflow support. They do not constitute legal advice, expert testimony, or a guarantee of any result.

You are solely responsible for evaluating outputs before relying on them in client communications, filings, presentations, or other professional work.

Access may be limited, suspended, or changed as the product evolves. Pricing, credits, and availability may change from time to time, and applicable changes will be effective when posted or otherwise communicated.

We may modify these Terms from time to time. Your continued use of the service after the effective date of any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

As between you and OptoJury, we and our licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in and to the service, including software, interfaces, design, logos, workflows, templates, documentation, and other content we provide, excluding customer content.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the service except to the extent expressly permitted by these Terms or applicable law.

We will use commercially reasonable measures to protect confidential information you submit through the service and to limit access to personnel and service providers who have a need to know for operation, support, security, or legal compliance.

You agree not to submit information you are not authorized to disclose and to maintain appropriate safeguards for any confidential information you access through the service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OptoJury and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to us for the service during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim or one hundred dollars ($100).

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to the service will be governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Unless otherwise required by law, the exclusive venue for any permitted action will be the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California.
